Affilliate organizations are special organizations that recognize significant accomplishments or merits (i.e. academic performance, leadership, etc) of members of the fraternity/sorority community. Appalachian has a long history of hosting these organizations and additional information can be found below.
Active Affiliate Organizations
Order of Omega is a leadership honor society for members of Greek organizations. Order of Omega recognizes juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, involvement within their respective organization and within the Greek, campus, and local community. The purpose of Rho Lambda is to honor those women within the sorority community who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their sorority/fraternity community and their sorority. They are women who have furthered the ideals and principles of the sorority/fraternity community throughout their years of sorority affiliation. GAMMA is a peer education organization that focuses on student health and safety issues. GAMMA has over 1000 collegiate affiliate organizations across the country. Our members focus on developing programs that promote healthy decision making in regards to alcohol, sex, tobacco, and other elements of campus safety and wellness efforts.
