Panhellenic Sororities

THE PANHELLENIC CREED:

We, as Undergraduate Members of women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.

We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.

  • The Panhellenic Council is the governing body which coordinates and oversees the national sororities affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference. The Council consists of an Executive Board and three delegates representing each of the 8 sororities on ASU's campus.
  • Panhellenic helps to unify the individual chapters and make the Greek system stronger. The National Panhellenic Council is recognized as a major campus organization which provides services and programming for the sororities, the University, and the community.
  • PHC provides an opportunity for women to become a part of the sorority system during formal and informal Recruitment. Recruitment is a mutual selection procedure for joining a sorority in which women become acquainted during a period of planned parties.
  • Greek organizations are committed to excellence. These organizations continue to develop leaders, offer a sense of belonging and community for members, provide service to others, and promote scholarship.
